Learning from Dogs, Helping Great Dogs Find Their Forever Homes
One of my greatest passions is dogs, learning from them, and helping dogs in need. As a leadership coach, I often say that dogs are some of our best teachers, and fostering allows me to give back while continuing to learn from these incredible animals. I currently volunteer and foster through Barkville Dog Rescue, located in Roswell, GA. I’ve been fostering LJ since the end of January and Mulan since the end of April. Both dogs are ready for adoption in the greater Atlanta GA area.
When I welcome a foster dog into my home, I invest significant time in training, socialization, and getting to know each dog’s unique personality, needs, and quirks. My goal is to help prepare them for success in their future home while also providing potential adopters with honest and detailed information to make the best decision for both their family and the dog.
Finding the right match matters. Just as families are evaluating whether a dog is the right fit for their home, I am equally thoughtful in ensuring the home is the right fit for the dog. There is never pressure to make a quick decision, and I am always happy to schedule a meet and greet. If either LJ or Mulan speaks to you, please reach out.
Meet LJ: A Gentle Soul Searching for His Forever Home
LJ, formerly known as Lucky Jackson, is a handsome three-year-old, 70-pound mixed-breed boy with a heart as big as his smile. This sweet and sensitive soul is the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal friend with a calm, easygoing nature. LJ enjoys walks, relaxing at home, and entertaining himself with a chew bone or a few joyful laps around the yard. He loves affection, cuddles, and being close to his people. True to his protective instincts, he keeps a watchful eye on the home and lets everyone know with his impressive bark that security is taken seriously! LJ would thrive in a quiet home and neighborhood with adults or older children who appreciate his gentle spirit and loving companionship. For the right family, LJ is truly a hidden gem waiting to shine.

Meet Mulan: The Sweetheart with the Cutest Little Legs
At approximately four years old, Mulan is the kind of dog who quietly steals hearts and then keeps them forever. This adorable 50-pound Staffordshire Bull Terrier / Basset Hound mix, with her charming short legs and irresistible “easty-westy” stance, brings joy wherever she goes. Friendly, affectionate, and playful, Mulan loves being close to her people, whether she’s joining you for a game of fetch in the backyard or curling up beside you after a long day. She may take a moment to greet new friends, but once you’re part of her circle, expect a happy welcome every time. Mulan would thrive in a loving home that enjoys companionship, playtime, and cozy evenings together. With her gentle spirit and bright personality, she’s ready to become someone’s loyal best friend.
