Q: We currently employ a physician who has been in a department leadership role for quite some time. But there is a lot of turnover and conflict in this department. Would your program help?

A: Well high turnover and conflict is always a sign that leadership isn’t effective. After all this is what leadership is about – building a strong department with strong relationships and employee engagement where everyone is inspired to grow and accomplish the organization’s goal. And if that is not the case, improvements have to come from the top. And when you look at these interpersonal conflicts it never has anything to do with business knowledge but with leadership behavior. And this is where I can definitely support a physician leader as long as they are comfortable looking into the mirror and working on themselves.
